Hi guys today where going to talk about a different type of train, a Lionel train. For those of you who don't know a Lionel train is 2x bigger than HO scale and runs on three rail track (middle track for picking up power). I will include a chart that shows the actual size of a O gauge or Lionel train. This specific model was modeled after the EMD F3. The EMD F3 was one of EMDs very iconic F units and was the first variation of the F units. They served for many railroads including the Santa Fe Railway and hauling many famous and iconic passenger trains like the "Santa Fe Super Chief". You will not see these trains any more on mainline railroads, but you might find a couple at a local railroad museum!!! I bought this Lionel unit in the summer of 2023 when I was at a garage sale. They had a great price for it and I bought it and got it serviced and now it runs like new!!! I wanted this model really bad because it's kind of rare to find a unit like this for a cheaper price! I also bought it because it's one of Lionel's most iconic locomotives from the postwar era! I believe this model was built in 1953 and was built in New York. The road number of my locomotive is no. 2353. Thanks for watching again and I will include some photos and videos! Bye!!
